This provides a wonderfully simple way to learn Hatha Yoga at home and at your own pace. You buy the booklet, HATHA YOGA FOR WESTERNERS: Selected Postures and Sequences, with two levels of recordings (beginner and advanced). The recordings provide verbal instructions to follow as you go through the book. The second edition of this well tested book, Hatha Yoga promotes physical, emotional and mental balance, well-being and health.

THE BOOKLET contains a clear sequence of over 200 drawings matched to simple instructions. It presents a basic, yet comprehensive physical yoga sequence. There are clear guidelines for beginners. Affects bodily, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being.

YOGA INSTRUCTION RECORDING (2 CDs):  This must be used in conjunction with the booklet. It takes the user through the full yoga sequence. The pace is relaxed and slow. Each half of the sequence takes 45 minutes. Ideal for beginners, it assumes no familiarity with yoga.

YOGA PRACTICE RECORDING (1 CD):  This must also be used in conjunction with the booklet. Designed for people with some experience, it promotes rapid development. One track completes the full yoga sequence in 45 minutes, the other in 30 minutes.

Beginners can become very skilful by starting with the Instruction recording and moving to the Practice recording as and when they are ready.

A Beginner's Guide to YOGA

This kit is for the beginner. Each of the two parts takes 45 minutes. You can use the full recording in one session, or use only part of it. Using only parts to begin with is more usual. Also, of course, you can start where you like and stop where you like. The pace is slow and easy and many hints are given about how to get into and out of the postures as easily as possible.  It is a great approach to learning yoga.

The 45 minute track talks you through the whole sequence at an easy pace. The 30 minute track is more demanding, although very manageable for experienced practitioners.
